ISST Signs MoU with UPSCPCR to Promote Child Welfare in Kaushambi

Kaushambi, Uttar Pradesh – 14th September 2024: In a significant development for child welfare in Uttar Pradesh, the International Sai Sewa Trust (ISST) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Uttar Pradesh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (UPSCPCR). The agreement aims to strengthen child protection, education, and healthcare in the underdeveloped district of Kaushambi.

The MoU was formalized in the presence of Nirmala Singh Patel, member of UPSCPCR, and Akshit Dwivedi, a key member of ISST and long-time advocate for social welfare and child rights. Through this collaboration, ISST and UPSCPCR will work together to uplift vulnerable children by addressing pressing issues such as child labor, education access, and healthcare.

Nirmala Singh Patel expressed optimism about the partnership, stating, "Kaushambi has long faced challenges in child welfare due to its developmental struggles. With the support of ISST, we aim to create a safer and more supportive environment for children, ensuring they get the protection and opportunities they deserve."

Akshit Dwivedi, who has been actively involved in child welfare through his roles in NGOs such as NCPCR and the Sambhav Initiative, highlighted the importance of the initiative. “This collaboration is a crucial step toward addressing the needs of children in Kaushambi. By combining ISST’s resources and UPSCPCR’s mandate, we aim to provide education, healthcare, and protection to those who need it most.”

This MoU also comes shortly after ISST collaboration with IDIA (Increasing Diversity by Increasing Access) to promote legal education in Uttar Pradesh, showcasing his dedication to social empowerment through education and rights-based initiatives.
