Mohini Bharmal Soars to Fulfil Her Dreams with Jijau Sanstha's Support!

19 May 2023, Mumbai: Mohini Bharmal’s story is one of triumph over difficult circumstances, demonstrating that with determination and consistent effort, success is attainable. Hailing from Gomghar, a small village in Palghar district, Mohini was born into a farming family. Despite facing financial constraints, she managed to complete her education up to the 12th grade at an ashram school in Suryamaal, Mokhada taluka. However, her dreams were interrupted when she was married off due to the family’s lack of resources.

Tragedy struck Mohini when her husband passed away from a heart attack within a year of their marriage. Devastated and three months pregnant, she found herself grappling with the responsibility of impending motherhood and the overwhelming grief of losing her husband. Despite the societal advice she received, Mohini, a woman of strong character, decided to stand up for herself and take charge of her life. With her mother-in-law and unborn child relying on her, she took up dishwashing to support her household. Yet, amidst her daily struggles, her desire to change her circumstances burned within her. Since childhood, she had aspired to become a policewoman, but she lacked the necessary guidance and direction in her education-deprived environment. Nonetheless, Mohini remained determined, and her struggle continued.

It was during this time that Mohini discovered the free police academy in Thane, operated by the Jijau Sanstha. Eager to seize the opportunity, she enrolled in the academy. However, juggling household responsibilities and the care of her infant made it difficult for her to attend classes regularly. Her attendance began to suffer, prompting the Jijau Sanstha team to inquire about her situation. Upon understanding her circumstances, Nilesh Sambare, the founder of Jijau Foundation, intervened and took responsibility for her family. He urged Mohini to relinquish her household chores and focus entirely on her studies and training.

Supported emotionally by her mother-in-law and inspired by her loved ones, Mohini found the motivation to persevere and complete her training. She credits Jijau Sanstha and Nilesh Sambare for treating her like family and providing the support she needed. Through her dedication and the organisation’s unwavering support, Mohini achieved her dream and secured a position in the Mumbai fire brigade. This accomplishment has brought honour not only to her household but also to the entire team at Jijau Sanstha. Overwhelmed with gratitude, Mohini acknowledges the pivotal role of Jijau Sanstha and likens Nilesh Sambare to a god-like figure, caring for others selflessly. She firmly believes that Jijau Sanstha and Nilesh Sambare are instrumental in transforming the lives of many struggling individuals.

Mohini’s success story is not an isolated incident. Alongside her, more than 50 students have recently been selected in the firefighter recruitment, all beneficiaries of Jijau Sanstha’s support. Nilesh Sambare, the founder, affirms that the organisation will always be there for such individuals, further motivating and empowering them to achieve their dreams. Jijau Sanstha’s strength, inspiration, and assistance have brought about revolutionary changes in the lives of numerous boys and girls, including Mohini.

With a focus on education, health, employment, agriculture, and women’s empowerment, Jijau Sanstha has become a beacon of social work in the Thane, Palghar, and Konkan areas. It has established eight CBSE schools in remote regions, catering to low-income families. Additionally, the organisation runs a modernised hospital with 130 beds, providing free medical services. It also operates UPSC/MPSC academies across 43 locations
