Cultural Performances And Devotion Highlight Sunteck Worldcha Raja Visarjan Festivities

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], September 8: The 11-day-long Ganeshotsav celebrations at Sunteck World, Naigaon, culminated today with much devotion and grandeur as the community bid farewell to their beloved Sunteck Worldcha Raja on the occasion of Anant Chaturdashi.

For the very first time, Sunteck World hosted a 9-feet-tall Ganesh idol, which became the spiritual centrepiece of Naigaon’s festive season, drawing countless devotees who came with reverence to seek blessings. Over these eleven days, the festivities were marked by devotional rituals, cultural performances, engaging workshops such as a clay Ganpati idol making workshop, and a much-appreciated photography contest, where over 2,000 residents and more than 500 visitors captured the most cherished moments of the celebrations.

The visarjan yatra was a grand affair filled with energy, devotion, and rhythm. Traditional performances such Nasik Dhol brought vibrancy to the streets as devotees joined the procession. The air resonated with chants of ‘Ganpati Bappa Morya, Pudhchya Varshi Lavkar Ya’, as devotees walked in large numbers alongside the beloved Sunteck Worldcha Raja during the visarjan procession.

The procession concluded with a heart-warming Maha Aarti, after which the idol was respectfully immersed at Pachubandar Jetty, symbolising Lord Ganesha’s return. As the idol was lifted for immersion, emotional devotees expressed heartfelt gratitude and a hopeful anticipation of welcoming Sunteck Worldcha Raja again next year. The rituals concluded with the distribution of visarjan prasad among all present, marking the end of this year’s Ganeshotsav at Sunteck World.
